Question about 1995 Isuzu Rodeo

1995 isuzu just replaced timing belt not working

The timing belt broke I replaced the timing belt. Started the engine before putting all the parts back on (other belts, fan, etc) to make sure it worked. It did. Continued to replace all the other parts, now it will not start. It turns over, but does not catch. Why?

Valves are fine. The timing belt adjuster was not functioning. Replaced that and now all is well. This was very frustrating, I am glad it is fixed! Thank you so much for your help.

Valves are probably bent , you should turn the engine by hand first , if it moves it is ok , do not try starting with the key

How to replace a 1995 2.4 v6 isuzu rodeo alternator belt?

Just do a search on google. (1995 2.4 v-6 Isuzu alternator belt diagram) There are plenty of diagrams showing the belt routing. Put the belt on all the pulleys you can. Take a wrench and pull back the tensioner, slip the last part of the belt over the last pulley. Then, release the tensioner arm and it will tighten up the belt. Turn it over and check it again to be sure it is on straight.

Broke a timing belt, do the valves stike the pistons when timing belt breaks on a 2.3l engine and if so does damage consist of a mark on the piston or does it break the piston.

I think that that all motors now days are 0 clearance valve trains, this doesnt allways mean there is not damage. change the belt and find out! have a good one !! you can go to any auto parts store and buy a haynes manual for your car. they are based on a complete teardown of your car. they are only about $25.00, the instructions for the belt are in there have a good one !!

Power steering went out air conditioner went out and engine started racing on and off while driving all happened at the same time

You just broke the serpentine belt, no big deal, you can drive it to a parts store, just keep it moving or it will over heat and it will drain the battery, so you have to be quick. get a new belt on there, you should be all set. Hope this helps.

Ac belt broken. Is car safe to drive? How hard is this belt to replace?

as long as the water pump, alternator, are working properly. but if it has just one serpintine belt that drives all things it must be replaced. before running. if only the ac belt, it is ok to drive if it has its own belt that is broken.

1995 was squealing, then started to over heat. The dash lights that lit were, brake and battery. I lost power steering. I put water in radiator the temp dropped, but still no power steering and dummy dash...

Of course any belts that are missing should be replaced. If the engine overheated you probably do need to replace the thermostat as the temper has been changed.

I need a diagram to sincronize the timing belt of my isuzu tropper 3.2 sohc

if this is 6VD1 engine it has single cam gear each head, but is still a 2 cams per head, engine
if belt has broke or you have turned any gear you must remove rocker covers to check positions of camshafts front lobes are in certain spot as well as timming mark on belt driven cam gear to cover
this cam gear is a 3:1 ratio (3 turns of cam gear = 1 turn of cams)

Timeing belt broke running cant seem to get it back in time

It may be one tooth off. That all it takes. One tooth on the belt of the crank or cam. The computer gets it's spark pulse from a sensor on the crankshaft. If it gets the pulse a fraction of a second to late or too early it won't time correctly. Check it out one more time. Hope this helps. Good luck and thanks for using FIX-YA.
