SOURCE: locating heater blower motor resistor

the resistor is behind your glove box. open the box and push in the sides to release it and let it hang down...the resistor is right there. I didn't try to replace it, a friend did it, but the part was under $20.

you said you just replaced the fan speed resistor. make sure to check your connection and also check the fuse and if it does not work you might have to check your fan motor itself.

On my vauxhall vivaro van, the fan heater isn't very good and when I turn it to number 4 it blows the fuse, the fuse is a 32amp how do I can the fan motor??

Usually on cars there is a blower motor resistor that changes the amount of amperage to the fan motor. If that is fried or shorted out than you could be receiving too much juice and piping your fuse. Either way there is some kind of short.

I got a 2007 dodge car van heat comes out but the fan is not working

does the fan operate at any speeds? If it operates on some but not all speed settings it is your blower motor resistor. If no operation at all start with fuses.
