Cam sensor fault. would need to change this sits in the top of the cam. also there is a crank sensor the work together to see what the engine is doing best to change both at same time. when fail engine goes into limp mode.and turns of ecu control. just basic setting limuets to under 4000 revs

SOURCE: engine management light comes on on daewoo cielo 1996

sounds like an o2 sensor, but the first thing you need to do is have the engin code read at your local autozone this is free. the computer codes should tell you what is causing the problem

My electronic throttle control lite keeps coming on and engine loses power

When it comes on, if your close to a garage or parts store, Have the codes read. Or have them read anyway. Most likely it is the TPS(throttle position sensor). it is under the gas pedal. Check the plug for corrosion. bad location for this..

2003 Chevy Trailblazer engine power lose light come on

Hi Steve , your vehicle has electronic throttle control . I don't know if you are aware of this. The gas pedal have position sensors an a wiring connector with 4-6 wires .these wires are connected to the engine computer . an there is a electric motor on the throttle body assembly , the computer opens an closes the throttle . You probably have codes stored in the engine computer .
Reduced Engine Power Mode When the PCM detects a condition with the TAC system the PCM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
?€¢
Acceleration limiting--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.

?€¢
Limited throttle mode--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.

?€¢
Throttle default mode--The control module will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.

?€¢
Forced idle mode--The control module will perform the following actions:

-
Limit engine speed to idle by positioning throttle position, or by controlling fuel and spark if throttle is turned off.

-
Ignore accelerator pedal input.

?€¢
Engine shutdown mode--The control module will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

Hi
you should have your CORSA scanned for fault codes and live data reading before you change any parts,
it sounds to me like TPS problem but you have to get your vehicle scanned.

Good luck

I don't know your year, but transmissions shifting is partly controlled by the throttle position sensor. Have the computer check for codes. If the TPS comes up this is most likely your problem.
