Question about 2010 Honda CR-V

1 Answer

2010 Honda CRV. The rear tail lights or rear parking lights are not working. The front are ok. Can you tell me which fuse controls them. Thanks

I have a trailer with lights that I use with this vehicle. The wiring on the trailer shorted and then the rear tail lights stopped working. I'm hoping the fuse blew but can't locate it

The issue I'm having is that the tail lights do not work. Also when I use the key-less entry button on the key the doors unlock but the lights no longer flash. When I use the button on the key to lock the car the the doors lock but the horn no longer beeps the second time I push the button. I have a small utility trailer that started the whole problem. I plugged the wiring plug into the car plug and lost the tail lights. My first thought is a blown fuse but cannot identify which one controls the tail lights. Any ideas? Thanks

Did you install the converter, which allows you to use the separate turn signal bulbs? If not, then you did pop the fuse.

SOURCE: could someone please tell me what the coloured

THE EASIEST WAY TO FIGURE OUT WHICH WIRE DOES WHAT IS TO USE A TEST LIGHT . ATTACH A TEST LIGHT TO A MATEL SURFACE NEAR THE TAIL LIGHTS, THEN REMOVE YOUR DIRECTIONAL BULB, TURN ON YOUR DIRECTIONAL AND CAREFULLU TOUCH THE TESTLIGHT TO ONE OF THE TWO CONTACTS IN THE RECEPTICLE THEN WRITE DOWN THE COLOR OF THE COROSPONDING WIRE THAT TRIGGERS THE LIGHT.

Did you fix this? I have the same issue....honda states it is a controller unit (after the fuse box....before the lights) If there was a short, there is NO protection!! An obvious design flaw.....$350 part + labor. Let me know how you resolved your issue? EdB

All lights work for Ford Escape 2009 except taill lights. If it is not the fuse, then what is causing the tail lights to not work?

Your front park lamps and rear tail lamps, use the same fuse and park lamp relay. So if the front park lamps work it's not the fuse or relay. The problem should be the wire circuit. The wire color for voltage at rear tail lamps is violet with white tracer. Use a test light and check for voltage, lamps turned on.
Your stop and turn work ok, correct?

My tale lights our out and windows will not go down is it a fuse and what fuse do i need to change

all windows dead? not just drivers? (not stated)
all park lamps dead, all 9 outside lamps dead??????? 3 rear
2 front and sides.? dead, with HL switch to park position?

correct step 1 are fuses
step 2 scan it, the BCM will tell you why it can do its job.
it will.. in most cases.

there are 2 ways (and more) to check fuses.
1: test them all, works every time and takes no knowledge of system complexity. (using ohm meter or voltmeter)
2: read he operator guide and read fuse page. its there. lost that.?
3: read the FSM book or at alldata.com and it there. for sure.

can i assume all else works?, and drive car at night)???????
03 WJ jeep, it is , I have WK 10

so windows can go down so cant test up. on all doors.
Tail lamps. 03.
so front parking lamp work but not rear tail nor rear license plate lamps? that it? the parking lamps is the better name
other wise the front tail lamps out sounds funny.
JB box Fuse 6 runs all park lamps front rear sides and license
so did you miss those lamps?
the relay that runs the run all lamps. all park lamps. lots.
the BCM controls (computer body) controls that relay.
so if main battery is weak the BCM will go nuts. does car drive ok at night
headlights bright?
there is no common demoninator for park and windows.
besides the BCM. it controls 31 major things in the body.
ill check that next. but not windows.
window motors
fuse 12 runs this. PDC fuse box under hood. 50 amps (huge)

ok there is a link from dead parks to windows
that is because the BCM sees you operate the switches
then sends serial commands on the CAN/PCI buss to the door window controllers.
so if you had scanned the pcm , and say gross can buss errors.
then bingo
why not get the car scanned first and show DTC error you have
I'll BET LOTS>!

do the 31 other things work like wipers.
door locks dead.

drive to any shop and say scan my car and get all DTC errors , not just 1 of many.

Tail lights and dash lights is no working

did you check them in the dark to see if , not just dim?
what sub model, EX, or LX? the LX is very different.
the car has 2 fuse boxes. did you know that, most cars do.
the fuse is called fuse #10 (fuse 10 runs hazards too, are haz dead?)
box one in cab, and 2 in engine bay.
the HAZ fuse is marked, HAZ

park/dash dim all dead, this is the largest path in car, over 20 lamps on most cars. (lots of places to mess up)
all are dead, all parks, front , rear, side and cab (dim) dead??????
even the license plate lamp>>>> details?,,,,, help, im blind..
here ill login to alldata.com for you, so can you at anytime.

ok this car can have a tail light relay. the LX dont have one.
the combo switch (1st click ) turns on park(tails)
and the relay energizes and runs all the park lamps.
but not on the LX, the LX is switch direct drive to all parks.
so?????

found this with google. NON LX !!!

Fuse #10 (15A) Audio unit, pocket light, clock, climate control, cruise switch light, gauge assembly, hazard switch light, heater control panel, interior lights switch light, driver's multiplex control unit, power sliding doors switch light, rear A/C switch light, taillight relay TCS swtich light.

2007 tail light fuse location honda crv

I had this problem with my 2007 Honda CRV -- all the lights worked EXCEPT the tail/running lights and the license plate light. The other tail lights worked -- brake, reverse, indicators, and hazards. Front headlights also worked, but when the headlights went on the back tail lights did not (not to safe for driving at night!!)
The fuse was #15 in the interior fuse box (under the dash driver side) with the label "small exterior lights" ( also check fuse #19 labeled "small lights main"). The cause of my problem, I believe, is a bad or lose wire in my license plate light.

My 2003 Pontiac Vibe tail lights do not work. The brake lights work. I checked the tail fuse. Turn signals work also. Why no tail lights?

Your turn signal lights and brake lights are the same lights . Question : do the front parking lights work ? The front and rear running lights or parking lights are all on the same circuit and fuse . If the front lights work , and the rear lights don't , make sure the bulbs are good first . If OK , I would suspect the problem is either a bad ground in the rear taillight wiring harness or a bad connection in the rear taillight connector Itself .

Check for power to your brakelight switch this located at the top of the brake pedal. I see alot of these go bad.

Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

These are Dual Function Bulbs. They control the Parking Lights and the Brake Lights. This Bulb is Burnt out on the Brake Coil inside the Bulb. I have actually seen Bulbs that were Bad But you could not Tell by jast looking at them. It should be fine with a New Bulb. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
