Bent valve or valves?

Bent valves cause no compression in the cylinder. 1 cylinder the car will start but run badly. If it starts and runs smoothly at idle, the valves aren't bent. If your running down the road and can't get above a certain speed. Try the fuel filter first(can have pressure, but no volume, clogged), then take a look at the catalytic converters.( these clog and restrict the exhaust flow, no air out, no air in.)

Engines valves?

your engine would be running rough like a fouled spark plug, a super hot exaust system is caused by a vacuum leak witch will also make the engine run rough at idle, a easy way to locate the vacuum leak is the spray parts of the intake system with WD40, intake manifold, vacuum hoses,

How do I know when my ford bantam(endura de)has bent valves?what is the symtoms what must I notice? Because there is a funny tick tick noise from the head.is the car drives when has a bent valves?

It wouldn't start with bent valves. If you have changed the cam belt and not set it correctly then you may have damaged the valve gear but the ticking is likely to be a worn camshaft or dud lifter.

How do u know when u have bent valves on a 87 toyota camry

The 2.0 engine is not an interference engine. So if the timing belt breaks, the valves would not be damaged.
So you should be able to turn the crank, but if a valve was bent it would not close, so that cylinder would have zero compression.

Broken crank shaft the mechanic said he wont be able to know if valves are bent until he puts it back together of course he said the valves are bent. How difficult is it to replace valves?

Find another mechanic. you got ripped off. A broken crank does not mean you cant check the valves. Called a leak down test. This engine should have been replaced. And probably still should. Your talking about a $1500.00 job.

When my truck is idleing it has a skip to it. i just gave it a tune up yesterday. it will **** a dollar bill up the tail pipe. do you know if a bad valve would cause this problem or could it be something...

This is usually caused by a bad valve or a bent pushrod. Either way at least one of the exhaust valves is not seating properly. You could pull the valve covers, remove the rocker arms, and pull each pushrod and check them one by one for straightness to eliminate the easy fix, but if you don't find a bent one you will have to pull the heads to check the valves. Personally I would pull the heads anyway and inspect them because a bent pushrod could be a symptom of a bigger problem.

Change my timing belt valves got bent shop said was carbon

nO! dont get scammed they messed up and had the timing off and it fired your valves off at the wrong time and bent them dont take it to anyone else ...take it to the manufactures and let them know what happened and i would get in touch with the BBB.... see your timing belt turns your camshaft which turns your pistons up and down now if you timing is off your piston will go up at the wrong time and force all that combustion back at your valves which are made up of light metal and then they bend .....call the garage you went to and let them know that it was there fault and you want it fixed ......this really makes me mad being an mechanic myself. I hope this helps you a little.

2002 SPORTAGE LOW COMPRESSION #3 CYLINDER, STUCK VALVE?

For you to get a good look and be 100% of what it is YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE HEAD, I would more like suggest a burnt valve rather than a bent valve unless you broke the timing belt on this vehicle. Good Luck and contact if you need more help. Thanks for using FIX YA
