Question about 2002 Saturn Sl
I cannot get my car to start, it wants to start, just does not do it. Orginally the battery died, and now the gas gauge is not reading any of the gas that is in the tank. I know I had at least 1/2 tank, but believe I have at about 3/4 tank. I added 1.10 gallons of gas, and it is still not even reading that.
The car almost started when I sprayed starter fluid into the air filter and line.
Try pulling the engine coolant temp sensor, They often crack not sure why but the ceramic tip cracks makes the car hard to start, the car's idle may race while shifting gears, and often smokes. The sensor is on the right side of the engine when looking at it on the head... In your case if the sensor is cracked it can be shorting out they electrical system.. its an idea there isn't a fuel shut off I've had this problem and seen if before so goodluck
