Air conditioning ports -to add air conditioning fluid

What you are wanting to add is R134a Freon. The port that you are talking about looks like the same connection that is on your tires. It is called a Schrader valve. They have a cap on them like a tire valve stem. They are located on the air conditioner lines that lead to and from the compressor to the cabin. They are different sizes and if you are not familiar with them, find someone that is because you can get hurt or damage your a/c if you make a mistake.

Tip

Air conditioning

When an vehicle's air conditioning system has not been used for several months, the seals within the system start getting dry. I've never worked on a Peugeot 206 or any other peugeot before, that's why I had no idea where the low pressure ac port was. The high pressure ac port is the easiest to locate, because it is in the engine compartment, facing the car from the front, on left side of the radiator. The low pressure ac port is in the engine compartment, facing the car from the front, to the back in the center, under the windshield. The low pressure ac port and the high pressure ac port both have black dust caps. The low pressure ac port is the smaller of the two.

The port in the larger of the 2 AC lines from the compressor is the port you charge at.

Location of Low Pressure Service port for Air Conditioning

1. Stand at your passenger fender facing the engine
2. Look to your left . The low pressure port is on the line coming out of the evaporator core. It should be close to your firewall location.

Air conditioning port cant find it to recharge,

If you reach up under the fender on the front passengers side in front of the front wheel, you will feel the reciever dryer(accumulator) assembly. The low side a/c port is located there(not the best place to have it in my opinion). The high side port is located where the front grill meets the upper radiator support.
I hope this helps you out. And also if you are looking for a leak, check the snout seal located under the outer clutch disc. Remove the compressor clutch disc and check for leakage. The compressor bodies themselves were also known for leaking.
Good luck

Location of low pressure air conditioning port?

Follow the biggest a/c line from start to finish.Usually the a/c port is located near the firewall.I have seen the port located under the passenger wheel well. There should be a decal that states the type freon on or near the fan shroud, core support or on the under side of the hood.It is most likely to be type r-12.You can purchase an r-134a conversion kit. If you are not a/c certified to use r-12,you do not need certification for r-134a.
