will the starter kick in and turn the motor over but just not start if the solinoid is bad. It just sounds like it is out of gas but it has a full tank of gas

Replace the coil?

i think your coil is weak and not pushing enough fire to the plugs which would explain the color of the fire as you described it. orange instead of blue would indicate a weak coil

Sounds like you need to get the Starter Solinoid Replaced. Just for Kicks make sure that you check EVERY Fuse and Relay in Both the Fuse Panel inside the Cab and the One Under the Hood.

The Solinoid is not Gone yet. It is still giving Enough Power for Cranking Just not Enough to Spin your Fly Wheel. I would Start there and it Should work. Let me Know though!

Are you sure you have all the air out of the cooling system? Have you had the system tested with a gas analyzer for a leaking head gasket? I would go with the head gasket.

It sounds like u have a cam correlation problem... Take ur cap off mark where ur rotor is pointing on the dist. Mark the firewall where the dist plug is pointing take the 10mm bolt out n look @ the dist gear and see how bad it's worn!! When u take the cap off some times they're so bad when u move the rotor u can tell the excessive play hope this helps!!!!

Engine turns over but won't start / 1995 F-150

Sounds alot like the ignition sensor. In my old Chevys it was under the dist cap, mounted on the dist itself. Mine was flat, slightly curved rectangle shape, with two flat prongs coming out both sides. If it would get an internal break in it, you cant see it. I would have the same problem as you, part was only about $12. And comes out with unscrewing two screws.
Might want to give it a shot.

Bad EGR valve comes to mind here. Assuming the plugs are good, the EGR valve woiuld be what I'd look at.
