If you are SUFFERING this ARTIC BLAST as I am it very well be that Parts are Literal FROZEN
HOY WATER down In the COWL AREA NOT the GLASS Please BUT Try some Rock SALTY HOT water to unstick those wipers, The 4 BY 4 Problem Most probably is Cold weather related
Especially if you have Not Had ANY problems with it Before the Cold Snap, Try if you can and have Nose thu Vehicle in Garage and let it Idle for 30 minutes then try SWITCHING IT. Hope This Helps you Stay WARM !! :) Please Rate me If Im Helpful for you ?

The wipers lost their index... Turn the car on, turn the wipers on, shut the car off when the wipers reach their full down position. Turn the wipers off, the. Turn the car back on. This should relearn the wiper index.

Wiper won't park

HI, there is a park switch or circuit that is built into every wiper motor. Apparently, your switch has failed. you must replace the entire motor(wiper) in this case.

Wipers not working, will not come out of 4x4 dodge dekota 2001

I knew that when mine did this it had too be more than a coincidence. So I started at the fuse panel and BINGO! the 20 amp fuse for the wipers (#5 on the 2001) was blown. When I replaced it everything went back to normal. Wish ALL repairs were that simple and cheap!

Wipers wont work

1.  Turn on your wipers and pop your hood.   2.  If you hear you wiper motor, then you do not need to check your fuses. 3.  If your wiper arms are moving freely, then your linkage from the wiper arms to the motor is disconnected and possibly broken.   4.  If the problem is electrical, do the following:      1.  Check the fuse, and check for power at the fuse.      2.  Check the wiper motor for ground. For a complete circuit, you need power going in and ground               coming out.  Check electrical connections for corrosion or poor connections.       3.  Get a wiring schematic and trace power to the wiper motor starting at the fuse box in the                       following order:           Fuse box           wiper switch           wiper motor      4.  In the rarest of cases a wiper motor or wiper switch is at fault.  I do not recommend replacing                 anything unless you have proof that the part is faulty. (ie. power going into the switch but nothing           coming out.)

Wiper Linkage

Take off both of the wiper arms and try to use wipers if they are moving you didn't install the arms correctly. If thats the case with the arms off and the wipers running turn them off with the wiper switch and wait for them to "park", then tun off the ignition and reinstall the arms in their proper location. Also when the linkage falls off you should replace it with a new one. It is a ball and socket fitting and when it fails it spreads the plastic socket and loosens it up. It is also reccommended when you are inside there you should always replace the linkages in pairs and also check the pivots (the knurled studs that the wiper arms bolt to) for play and if necessary replace these as well. Good luck.
