Question about 1999 Mazda Millenia

The lifters on my 95 mazda millenia are there a way that i can tell which one specifically is bad?

    It,s got a duel overhead cam with no rockers, the cam looks like it pushes down either the lifters or a cap the size of a lifter.

    Can i remove them just by simply removing the cam?

    Yes those are hydraulic lifters measure Clarence between camshaft and valves

Try using higher grade gas. If that gets rid of it or reduces it, it's a detonation problem. Try running a few cans of seafoam motor treatment in the gas and a bit of miles before the next oil change.

they dont go often but infrequent oil changes extreme driving high mileage can increase the wear and possible break down of parts lifters like any other mechanical part can break or wear out

I am getting a code p0077 for a 95 mazda millenia....any clues

it could be a intake valve control solenoid. call auto zone or advance auto parts and they can give u a definate answer.

i you remove the valve cover if you move the rocker and some got more play then others they need to be removed first run the engine and try to hear were the noise come from let say you hear noise on the driver side so our problem is in those lifter good luck pierre

95 mazda millenia won't start it turns but no start.? Is is a fuel relay or a fuse?

their is a relay in the #21 position called the circuit relay

no. It is an OBD2 configured control system.First year production with a lot of fuel trim problems. codes can be retrieved with generic obd2 scan tools or ford's star2 tester. These cars are noted for setting oxygen senser codes if started with battery in poor contition.
