SOURCE: Torque and sequence to Intake Manifold for 3.3L Nissan Xterra 2000

Hi El Faraon,
I believe that you're dealing with 12 mm bolts and nuts....THESE ARE NOT THE SPECS FOR YOUR ENGINE, but I believe that if you use them you'll be close....Tighten in three stages up to 22nm....choose the bolts from the centre of the manifold and circle outwards until you reach the last one.....It may be a good idea to draw an overhead or plan view of the unit, marking out the bolt positions.....Start at the centre and mark the sequence and follow that....What is important is starting at the centre, so that nothing becomes warped....

Hope this helps,

Regards, Johngee10

SOURCE: 2000 Nissan Xterra Service Engine soon indicator is always on

The knock sensor is not a huge deal to replace and will not turn on the light. It should be dont though.

The crankshaft sensor is located directly between the engine and transmission. It is dead center at the bottom.

SOURCE: the power outlets dont work in my 2000 Nissan

The power fuse for the accessory power outlets (front and rear) is in the engine compartment on the passenger side. If the fuse is good, check the positive (center) connection in the outlet for power. These outlets are subject to ground (negative) failure local to the outlet socket

How do I know the numbers for the spark plugs to a 2000 nissan exterra 6 cylinder suv?

the misfire could also be the coil that is what send's the spark to the distributor, if it is weak it will cause a random mis fire code for any cylinder, the plug wire's on my 2000 xterra are numbered it will be the second plug on the driver's side of the engine, the cam sensor will also give a mis fire code if it is malfunctioning, I have a 2000 xterra that is a night mare when it come's to code's and repair's it is not alway's the first thing you think with these vehicle's, try to change all the plug's and dis connect the battery for 20 minutes then hook it back up and run down to your local autozone or pep boy's and have them hook up an OBD to see if it is fixed or if another code appear's

I have a 2000 nissan xterra and when it gets to normal running temperature it starts to sputter, looses rpms, missing, and then power. Then it wont start back up i changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump...

You need a distrubuter. I would not us an aftermarket one because Nissans do not like aftermarket parts for some reason. But that is most likley it.

MMy Nissan xtera stoped while moving, and trys to start but won't

you most likely need a new fuel pump sending unit. you are not getting any gas into the engine. nissan has problem with sending units failing causing powerloss to the fuel pump. to check this, you can remove the rear seat bottom cushion on passenger side and remove the steel cover plate that is held by 4 bolts, that will let you see the top of the sending unit. look at the 2 wire connector and move it around, while someone else is cranking the truck. it will start. nissan has a campaign for those, so go to your nearest nissan dealer with your VIN number, so they can check it in nissan database to see if the campaign applies to your vehicle.

Have 2000 xterra. engine will not start. replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, sending unit, cap and rotor, plugs and battery. help!

Did you checked the starter and starter motor solenoid. Also check the connection between starter and battery. The starter gets power to start the car from battery. If the battery to starter connection is loose or in case starter itself is faulty then this can be one possibility of engine not starting.Thanks.

2005 Nissan Xterra gas gauge reads empty when full of gas.

Sending unit died. can be expencive to replace since most sending units are integral with the fuel pump now. lots of labor too. Better to use the trip odometer till you can afford a day without your car and a $600.00 +labor repair bill.

2001 Nissan Xterra

Most likely corrosion on the sending unit connector. If corroded will need sending unit assembly. To check lift up passenger side rear seat cushion and remove the top and bottom plates, fuel tank sender is right below.
