SOURCE: spark plug gap

Notice: This engine has aluminum cylinder heads. Do not remove the spark plugs from a hot engine, allow it to cool first. Removing the spark plugs from a hot engine may cause spark plug thread damage or cylinder head damage.
Gap the spark plug, using round wire type spark plug gap gage.

Gap Adjust the spark plug gap to 1.14 mm (0.045 in).

DO NOT coat the spark plugs with anti seize compound. Over torquing could occur and damage to the cylinder head threads may result.

If your going to use Platnum plugs, DO NOT GAP them. Just check the gap and if there not the right gap, ask for new one's with the right gap.

The metal on the PLatnum plugs, are harder and my break apart in the cylinder .

Good luck and hope this helps

My new spark plugs are getting wet, and tail pipe has water coming out of it?

Getting water in the tail pipe is a good sign as the engine will always have moisture when not running. Water on spark plugs is a bad sign as there may be a leak from a cracked cylinder head which is then a major job, the car should be running erratically or will stop.

To check if this is the case take out the oil dipstick and see if the oil is light brown instead of black then you have a problem as mentioned so needs major overall to the engine.

What car parts interchange with a 2002 Pontiac Aztec?

Aztec was derived from the line of GM minivans. Many mechanical parts are interchangeable with Pontiac Montana, Chevy Venture and Olds Silhouette of that vintage. Obviously the sheetmetal is, I would say, unique.

Hello! #1...Lets eliminate spark...2&5 are controlled by the same coil so it isn't the coil...Pull #5 spark plug and with wire attached lay the plug on ground and see if it fires blue...If not either wire is open or plug is bad...

#2...Fuel injector isn't spraying correctly...however, is the check engine light on?...If it is, go to an auto parts store for a free scan...If there is a trouble code it will help me solve the fault...Send a comment...guru..saailer

Need gap spacing for spark plugs. Wondering about the location of the fuel filter

Hello: There should be a white placard under the hood giving you the spark plug gap, Its called an ession label for your engine, the gap probably is .060 of an inch. The fuel filter should be behind the fuel tank or to the passenger side under the rear of the car.

I need to change a coil on the rear of a pontiac aztec. What tools will I need and what instructions are there to help me. Thanks Gary

It is REALLY simple. You wil need a 7mm socket wth an extension and ratchet or a nut-driver handle. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the coil. Remove the 2 screws holding the coil to the Ignition Control Module. Remove the coil. Reverse steps to install.

2001 Pontiac Aztec 3.4 liter V-6. How do you change the rear spark plugs

It's not easy.
It took me four hours to change the three plugs on the rear bank, but it can be done.
The way I did it, I put the aztec up on ramps, slid underneath and followed the spark plug wires down to the plugs. I ended up working mostly by feel instead of sight.
With a lot of patience, an assortment of extensions and a swivel joint, the plugs can be changed.

An extra elbow in your right arm, and a large assortment of four letter words would also be handy to have.
Good luck!
