Question about 1984 Ford F 150
Have puller atached but not shure if i need to disconnect c-clips rear before start slamming out

You must pull the diff cover off, then remove the center pin and spider gears, then remove the C clip that holds the axle in the carrier assembly.

If you have already removed the outer axle bearing cover in the rear hub, try popping the axle out as some of them have a compression clip holding it in place in the differential. If it doesn't pop loose, you wil have to remove the differential cover and push the axle inward enough to access the retaining clip to remove it. It should slide out fairly easile once the axle is pushed in far enough to clear the retainer clip lock collar.

remove the inspection plate. turn the axles until you can remove the center pin in the carrier. remove pin,rotate axles, remove spider gears, and push axle in towards center of truck, booya, pins should fall right out
