no doubt the bolts are all the same. take a bolt back out and take that bolt to a parts store and they will sell you a match. or wait and go to a dealer.

2006 grand caravan starter diagram and size bolts needed for the starter

To work on your vehicles, you need a basic set of wrenches and sockets, standard and metric sizes. To buy one wrench or one socket, just isn't feasible, in my opinion.
Try 15 mm

Cutlass ciera wont start

Does the starter spin the motor at normal cranking speed? If there seems too much friction, try turning the engine over by hand to check if the engine turns freely. Put a socket and wrench on the center crankshaft pulley bolt and turn clockwise. If you cannot turn the crankshaft with a wrench easily, then the starter can't either. Turn the crank all the way around to check for something preventing cranking.
Is the battery still enough power to crank at normal speed? If it's already too low, recharge it, and try again.

1990seville wont start battery good will not turn over

Suggest you try a jump start of your car. If it starts, then it is either the battery or the alternator. If it doesn't then, you can take off the serpentine belt and try to rotate the engine with a large wrench (CW). If it rotates, then it will be your starter or starter solenoid or the starter relay.

Replace the starter, where is it located, what tools do i need

Underneath vehicle, right side (depending on engine). You'll need a suitable jack with jack stands, 8mm wrench to disconnect negative battery cable, 13mm wrench and/or socket with ratchet to remove main wires to starter, 7mm wrench to remove remote wire on starter, and a 15mm socket with ratchet and 6inch extension to remove starter-to-engine bolts (2). Good luck.

What size wrench do I need for the bolts to replace the starter motor on 1988 gmc 1500 with a 305 engine

Hi,
9/16 socket with an extension an a ratchet.
They will be pretty tight so a 1/2 inch drive will help break them loose.
Good Luck

I just replced my starter in a 1994 Cadillac deville and we think it may be the security or theft system for the car. And, now the car will not start. And the dash says to "wait 3 minutes" and try again...

OK. Make sure that the black and silver resistor on the key is clean of grease or moisture that can cause the security system to reject the key as a valid one coded for this car.

If you replaced the starter, hopefully you disconnected the battery first, so that there would not be any jolts of electricity or shorts when turning the wrenches or turning the bolts with the socket and ratchet.

I have a 1990 Cadillac Deville and a 1997 Cadillac Deville which have a similar key. Yours is probably similar in look and function to mine.

Another thing to mention, is that if you hear a click or it tries to turn over but doesn't, your connections may not be as good as they should be at the starter coming from the battery.

Or, finally, the starter might be defective, even though it is newly rebuilt or built.

So, I hope this helps.

Need to replace rear air strut what tools do i need

hello, you are a brave man. Well you need a floor jack, or a good bottle jack to start, jack stands, 18mm deep socket, impact wrench, a 3" extension for you 1/2 or 3/8 tool set, several metric 6 point sockets, regular size. You will also need some open-end wrenches, such a box wrench, a vise grip. If you don't have a impact wrench, a 12volt electric impact wrench, the kind used for removing lug nuts will do. Just be prepared to toss it afterwards, if it is a cheap one. Also a 18" breaker bar, 1/2" size is highly recommended, with a 3/8 adapter for using 3/8 sockets. I hope this helps. Did you blow a air bag, or is one of the solenoid's gone bad?
