I am sorry but fixya has no diagrams of the system. The diagrams are part of the factory repair manuals and that is copyrighted by the manufacturer. You can pay for access and download the info at this site. I have no affiliation with the site just passing on the information to assist you. www.alldatadiy.com

01 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER SCANNER CODE IS 1074

too lean on bank #2, usually a vacuum leak (hose or intake manifold), also check/clean your Mass Air Flow meter. There is a Technical Service bulletin on this issue too:

http://www.aboutautomobile.com/TSB/2001/Toyota/Highlander/Others

it may or may not apply, but further investigation is warranted-look for the obvious items first (up top).

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Visually inspect engine compartment for any disconnected small hoses. Likely in or around air intake. Look also near brake master cylinder, power brake booster also has vac hose to it.

The cruise control doesn't work but the light cruise is on in the panel and the actuator have been change. The fuse is also looking good but i'm wondering if any relay or other switch could be in cause?...

Cruise controls use Vacuum from the inlet manifold to operate the throttle linkage for cruising. If the hose that supplies the vacuum is not tight on the connections at either end, due to getting hard and/or splitting, the unit will not have enough vacuum to operate the linkage. Check the hose that supplies the cruise control, as well as all the hoses used for pollution control in the engine bay for poor connections. They should be tight, not hard or split and not be able to be removed easily.

Just had my oil changed in my 2001 highlander and the check engine light came on for code 1130 and 1133 which I was told is the bank one sensor one. Could it have anything to do with the oil change? If...

We have a 2003 highlander, and every time they check the air filter(done during oil change), they disconnect a vacuum hose located on the bottom of the air filter housing. This causes the check engine light to come on. It takes a flashlight and a skinny wrist to reconnect the hose. tell them not to check the air filter anymore. Mostly a walmart screwup.

Any hint why my code light came on 2001 Highlander?

Check the vacuum lines on the air box where the air filter is. A leak will cause the computer to misread the problem. On my 2001 Highlander Ltd., the computer code said the #3 oxygen sensor was bad. It wasn't.
