i had the code 1113 and i spent a lot of money trying to solve this. here goes. i decided to clean throttle body so i did and while i had the large air flow pipe of decided to have a check of mass air flow sensor (MAF) which is located right hand side of throttle body tucked away under neath. i took it off and thought it looked ok until i looked closer and on top of the rubber ridge i noticed a small piece of rubber missing dont ask me why but i looked under neath rubber ridge and there low and behold was a hole in the rubber. so that was my problem. god knows why i looked there never thought of maf being the problem. hope this helps. before wasting money like i did check this out its easy to take out and put back. if yours is ok just give it a wipe over mine had oil on it too. check it out worth a go. you never know

SOURCE: vauxhall astra horn

The problem is in the loom in the steering wheel, it requires removal of the airbag and a new wheel loom to be fitted. The loom costs about £15.00 I think.

What should the tyre pressure be for a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXI 2008

There should be a sticker on the door or door surround when you open the front doors. Pressure should be on there though likely to be in bar, ie 1.2 bar, or kpascals. they seem to have dropped psi but 30 psi / 1.2 bar is near enough for a reinflate. If it goes down you have a puncture and will need to visit a tyre shop.

Hi just got a astra 1.6 sxi twinport 05 plate but cannot get electric mirrors to work checked fuse box block 26 but no connect pins for a fuse can anyone explain

check the history of this car very carefully as it may be a ringer , not exactly what it seems to be , as most likely has had repairs and parts other than for the original vehicle specs have been used .

P0500 FAULT CODE

Hi Stewart
Vauxhall Astras have a common problem with the instrument cluster (Dashboard/display/speedo) and its quite surprising what problems this can cause with the running of the car and other things it might be worth fitting a second hand instrument cluster from a breakers yard there usually around £30 and can stop a lot of head scratching
Hope this helps Nick

Astra sxi twinport 1.6 keeps cutting out when hot.changed all sensors.also sqeeling at low revs.please help.paul.

I would first check the condition and tightness of any drive belts, which are likely causing the squealing.
Check the operation and conductivity of the MAF and MAP sensors.
