Just a couple of guesses:

1) If you turn the radio on and get white noise, the capacitor that 'remembers' your preset stations may have fully discharged and lost it's settings. If so, just re-tune and re-save stations.

2) If you turn radio on and get nothing, maybe it's fuse blew during the jump start?

Viper remote reset

Yes get the wire cutters out and remove the alarm system ,they cause nothing but hassle normally when you can do without it ,like wife having baby or in the middle of nowhere .These sort of boy racer gizmos are a complete waste of money and the amount of hassle they cause ,if wanted to steal your car a viper or any other alarm system wouldnt stop me ,Breakdown or tow truck to you and its gone ,trust me on this best deterent is a padlock and chain around steering wheel and seat fixing or a exhaust clamp through floor in a inverted U .highly visable deterent and a combination lock even better as no key if they break into house and steal the vehicles keys or lift them out on a fishing rod through a post box or open window even a grilled air vent ,i have seen it all in my time but?? something new can always come up .These auto remopte start alarm things are nothing but a waste of money ,whats wrong with keeping the car in the garage instead of a garage full of junk or a kids playroom

2004 BMW X5 4.4i Left lights on resulting in flat battery. Car was jump started from another vehicle (Ford Transit van). Everything fine for a few days. Now, intermittently the radio/sat nav goes haywire!...

sounds like your car has the multi function steering wheel, i know on the 7 and 5 series they come out of sync, im not sure why.
its about £75 to get plugged in at the dealers and they reprogram it, sometimes i have had the odd car with a damaged slip ring, it does all sorts of things, 1 in particular kept on beeping the horn,
i would say if u got 1 urs got upset when battery flat.

2005 Honda Odyssey Tailgate Problem

Try to reset the tailgate by removing the no.7 (7.5 amp) fuse in the underdash fuse box. Open and close the tailgate manually, reinstall the fuse, and try the open tailgate button. If that doesn't work you would have take it to the dealer, where they can check for DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes). Honda Al

Left lights on Suzuki Vitara and now can not unlock the door

Can't help with a problem of getting into the car, assuming the keys don't work. As for charging the battery, make sure all accessories are off in both cars, hook up the cables to the dead battery first, noting which one goes to the + cable on the battery. That same cable will go to the + terminal on the car that is running. Make the last connection the one that goes to the - terminal on the running car.
Let the battery charge for 2-3 minutes and then try to start. If it doesn't start after 5 minutes, rev the engine on the jump car and that will add voltage to the connection. Try to start again after a few minutes. After you get it going, let your car run for 20 minutes to build up the battery. When disconnecting the cables, keep the ends from touching until all cables are disconnected from the batteries.

Jaguar s/type wont start had flat battery now replaced x.reg 2000

Yes the key needs to be reprogramed to the car. Unfortunately that will have to be done by the dealer. Make sure that you have plenty of proof that you are the owner. They will reprogram it but you will not take posession of the car until you prove it is yours.
