My truck is idling high and it shakes when stopping

Sounds like bad presure plate or whorped fly wheel.

Your cluch is on its way out and probably needs to replaced, it will not be long before it does this in all gears.

i would first check the idle position sensor,located where the throttle cable ends at the tbi. check for broken wires or hoses, try un-plugging and see if the problem goes away. get back to me if you need more help. please rate my fix. Thanks Ray

depending on which motor you have it may be a simple fix or you may have a cracked engine head. At a complete stop - turn on your A/C if it dies then I would be thinking cracked head. If it stays running then it is most likely either the TPS throttle sensor or the MAP sensor is very dirty and needs cleaned. You did not say how many miles are on this truck
