Question about 2000 Chevrolet Blazer

1 Answer

I have humming from the front axle on my 2002 Blazer.

It seems like the wheel is driving the transfer case even when not in 4 wheel drive. The drive engauges and disengauges fine. When I jacked the wheel off the ground the axle turns with the wheel even in two wheel drive.

My 4 wheel drive will not engage and the 4 wheel drive service light does not come on. what could be the problem/

check your four wheel drive fuse.if its ok.check for vaccum to your transfer case switch if it is vaccum operated.if it is electrical check for b+ at the transfer case switch.if there ok check for b+ at the front axle acctuator.if its ok it is probably your transfer case module.

Every time i push the button for the four wheel hi it makes the click noise in the front but DOES NOT ENGAGE. only the back tire spins

Depending on the year, it is not posted, it may be a bad transfer case motor. The clicking you are hearing is the motor trying to engage transfer case & front axle. It looks like a windshield wiper motor & when it gets power & works properly it engages front wheels. Again, depending on the year, may be 4 wheel drive actuator or switches bad on front axle or transfer case.

My 1999 Blazer 4X4 will not go into 4 wheel drive.

The cv shafts will turn in 2wd but the front driveshaft should not. Can you jack up all 4 wheels to test this?
