How to test fuel pressuer on a mazda 929

Find your test valve on your fuel rail (under the hood) and you will need a fuel pressure regulator gauge to check the pressure. You can also look up online the specs for the pressure recommended. You did not provide your size engine so i could not look up specs for the pressure. Hope this helps.

Sounds like vapor lock. Next time it does it go to your fuel pressuer regulator and prees on the test valve to see if any air comes out. Next crank the engine and press the same for for just long enough to see if gas comes out. Your may have a bad regulator.

Check your coolant temp sensor, it may be reading -40deg, wich will cause injectors to go full power, so to speak, may want to re check your pressuer regulator could be faulty.

Toyota 4 runner fuel pressure

pressuer should actually raise under throttle, but not much. maybe 5psi. 38-44psi is the correct range. if your dropping much I would replace the fuel filter. next I would check the tank for debris or water, finally i would replace the Fuel pressure regulator.
