Common solution is valve cover gasket is bad or else loose bolts .To fix this confusion take the car to car wash and with the car running hose it off to get the grease off drive it a couple days and then check all over .

Go under the car, and check the oil pan. Maybe you need to change the gaskets.

1993 lumina euro is blowing black out of tailpipe smells gas

Black smoke is unburned gas. If the car is running fine besides the black smoke, it's most likely the Coolant Temperature Sensor. The part is roughly $20 and an easy fix.

My 1993 chevy luminagets lousy gas mileage, when it runs you smell

. If you are in the car driving and smell fuel, chances are the leak in FRONT of you under the hood, probably being drawn in, by the heater or a/c. Open the hood and look for WETNESS. Don't see or smell it. Get UNDER the car ( safely ). Look around at the fuel lines. You'll find if you look. Hope this helps

Running hot

run hot even at highway speed? no leaks, or sweet smell? ever have to top off coolant? ever boils out of system? if no to all these, sounds like your cooling fans aren't working. there is a fuse either on the motor cradle or on the passanger side wheel well. start the car, let it warm up, and check for power to the cooling fans.
