Question about 1998 Nissan Altima
Car runs fine when it is cold. But as the day progresses, it stalls in stop and go traffic and at red lights. The check engine light is also on. I have given it a full tune-up, replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump, and had a loose screw tightened on the distributor. I also ran fuel injector cleaner through the engine but that seemed to make it worse. Runs fine while maintaining speed. Starts right back up when it stalls. Any suggestions?

I would check your intake gasket. Get your self ome carb cleaner in a spray form/can and perfrom this test. Run the car and spray the carb cleaner on your intake gasket which is right by your injectors. So pretty nuch spray it at the injector rail and listen fot change in idle, If the idle changes, the intake gasket is torn and you are running lean, because of a vaccum leak. Common problem on your model car. Perform test and let me know what you find.
