Sean your an idiot. Blown head gaskets, Cracked heads and bad Piston rings are all causes of low compression. I didnt mention a timing belt because toyota is not known for breaking the timing belt.

No,,,you probably have a slipped or broken timing belt, or worse a bad head gasket
Fuel pressure...you check with a fuel pressure gauge hooked to the schrader valve on the fuel rail

If you have low compression you have only a few things that cause that. 1. you have a blown head gasket. 2. you have a cracked head. 3. your piston rings are shot. With a no start condition I can almost garuntee you have either number 1. or 2. If you wanna check the crank sensor, have someone spin the motor while you pull off a spark plug boot. If you hear/see it firing then the crank sensor is good. Crank sensors either work or they dont. If the crank sensor is bad, you will lose fuel and fire.

Long cranking toyta camry 2004

The reasons for long cranking are as follows:
- Specific gravity of the storage battery is low.
- Battery terminals sulfated. Clean with warm water, keeping your eyes and hand away.
- Cranking motor is drawing more amperes (Current). Service the starter motor.
- Engine compression low. Check the valve clearance.
- Spark plugs gaps are wide open. Adjust the gaps.
- Fuel pump pressure is low. (Normal range 38 psi - 44psi).
- Leaky Fuel injectors.
- Clogged element air cleaner.
- Engine coolant temperature sensor

I have a timing problem. Low idle speed that is intermitten and causes a stumble at starts. This problem also occurres during normal running RPM's. Missing electronic signal but intermitten?

Could be bad sensor whether crank sensor, sam sensor, idle air control sensor, bad ignition module, bad coil or even timing belt. if you have a service engine soon light/creck engine light it's more than likely a sensor. If no light, probably timing belt/fuel filter plugged/ or weak fuel pump.

My 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan will crank but won't start.

Hi, if an engine cranks but refuses to start, it lacks ignition, fuel or compression. When the engine cranks normally but won't start, you need to check ignition, fuel and compression. Ignition is easy enough to check with a spark tester or by positioning a plug wire near a good ground. No spark? The most likely causes would be a failed ignition module, distributor pickup or crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

97 Toyota Camry Has been having issues lately. First it started to miss fire a lot kept getting the code p1300 so i was advised to get a tune up i did that. Tune up included spark plugs changed, wires...

Has anyone checked the Crank position sensor or knock sensor? If the Crank position sensor isn't reporting the correct position of the crank when it turns the spark plugs are firing at the wrong time. This could be because of a worn timing belt or faulty timing belt tension arm. Have the sensors checked and if they are good your left with replacing your timing belt.

97 toyota camry stalls after warm and at stops or hard starting also strong gas smell on starting.

you will need to get the vehicle diagnosed thru dtc scanner. scanning the dtc's will tell the tech where to start and most likley exactly what the problem is. sounds like a possible cam or crank sensor.

No spark, 1988 Toyota Camry 3SFE 4cyl, 5 speed.

there is no crank sensor on this vehicles 2.0L. If you have power to the coil, new coil, cap and rotor try this if not done yet>>>Unplug coil power first....Try pulling off the distributor cap, and make sure the rotor is spinning with the cam...If this fails to spin, inspect the entire distributor assembly. If it passes, Inspect all the power circuit and wiring to the dist assembly, if ok possible ecu. i recommend having a mechanic check it out!! Hopefully this helps...please rate...thanks
