Sounds like the relay is turning on sending the power out to the blower motor resistor witch is locate dby the blower motor it is held in the case by two screws check it for power when you turn the switch on and off

Check the connector to the blower motor under the hood a bad connection will make this happen and its vary comon to all vehicles If you have troble locating the right connector turn the fan on mediem and start moveing the connectors until you hear it spin In the unlikely case this dosn't fix the problem you may need to replace the reisitor coils in the motor they look like peices of bear wire that someone raped around a pencil and are on a small ciricut board under a panal on the back or the blower motor

2004 sierra, fan blower stopped, not the fuses. where is the fan blower switch and how do I replace

get a voltmeter; check for 12vdc at the blower motor with the blower turned on; if there is voltage, the blower motor is bad; should be located behind a panel underneath the dash on the passenger side; if the fan works on 1 or 2 speeds, it is probably the blower resistor located in the same area as the blower; u can check utube for details

2004 gmc sierra 1500 blower motor location

The blower motor is on the passengers side under the dash. You might have to remove the a lower panel. This is the insulator panel. If the blower works at all just turn it on and follow the noise.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Blower fan not working correctly

I had the same problem. There is a filter down under the passenger side of the dash that clogs up and stops the air from blowing out any of the vents. I removed the filter completely and now it blows like new.

1990 gmc 1500 heater motor does not turn on

The fan switch itself is a possibility, but there is also a resistor pack behind the glove compartment. Hi speed doesn't use the resistors, though, so if it doesn't run on hi, it narrows it down to the switch, the motor, the motor ground, or the blower relay, or any of the associated wire connectors.
