The motor is shot...it still runs but is about to go out, it no longer has the power it needs..replace the motor, or the entire motor regulator assembly and you will be fine.

2002 thunderbird window won't go up or down replace swith still wont work fuse are ok does the switch get power

The master switch connector does have circuits that have power on them. The Master switch is not directly connected to the window motors. The switch sends a signal to the Front Electronic Module and the module controls operation of the motor on the driver side. The passenger door window motor is controlled by a different module

The electric rear sliding window does not work

Hi.

The window will open because the motor only needs to stop the window from sliding too fast. it is being helped by gravity and thus will draw fewer amps. I would have a look at the battery first (if the problem only happens when the car is off i.e. the motor isn't running) or the alternator when the car is on. the motor could also be damaged and is not able to lift the window (if the armature has over heated and fused)

Hope that helps

One window won't work

I guess it is the driver's side that does not work since this is the first to wear out because of use. Other windows may be faulty because of non use and the motor stuck up. The best thing that can be done is to inspect the assembly of the window. You need to open up the door panel of the window with an issue and see if tapping or moving the motor helps. If the motor runs with your help then electrical issues such as wiring may not be a factor. IT could be a weak motor or some of the linkages and gears are not meshing. Grease or refitting the parts may help. At times it could be the rubber around the door that makes it difficult for the entire assembly to move smoothly.
