What is the purpose of this nipple on the pump does it need anything attached to it

A nipple usually is a grease or oil point - you pump grease or oil in with a grease/oil gun.

The other use of a nipple is as a bleed point - think of your brakes. There's a bleed point - nipple - that you open whilst pumping the brakes to remove air from the system.

Where is a diagram for grease /lube under chassis locations

under-body only.check
my guess not gear lube. right>? axles/gear boxes, (a plenty)
2wd, or 4wd?
what do you want to grease, you never said.
bearings, tie-rods, ujoints etc. only>?

are you asking for ZERKS? only?
or all places on car with grease.?
or
are you saying just grease? and only things that must not be removed for service with grease, (like wheel bearings and splines)

The free book posted over 200 times.
chapter 0, read that? lube/maintenance?
see the 4wd exceptions?
my 2010 has none.

the map includes LUBE points.
but adds gear boxes, axle gears, GL4 and GL5 (gear lube) is lube. too
but engine oil is not lube, to 1996 books.

1993.(oldest for GC) the word LUBE is wide reaching...

Does a mazda 2006 have grease zerks

Check your vehicle's owner's manual service guide; contact the service or parts dept at a local Mazda dealership; visually (look) at the steering linkages, or call your local auto parts store...I know that some models have sealed units with no lube points and others that have lube points...the consideration is model and are the steering components stock or aftermarket?

Car squeking. are there any grease points to lube?

Very few if any grease fittings

You will have to get under there & look,
or have a repair shop check out your squeaking

Greasing anything on a 12 year old car won't do a thing
Grease is for high bearing load points, such as a ball joint

Top Strut Bearing Plates & Stabilizer Bushings, could be
part of your squeaking

How do I lube the front chassis?

Depends on the vehicle...some have no serviceable joints. If you're under the car, and you see grease fittings on things like tie rod ends, and ball joints, just take your grease gun in hand and give each one 3 to 5 pumps of the ol' gun, and you're lubed. In reality, the rubber boot under most serviceable fittings will expand a little, and then make a popping noise as excess grease begins to ooze out. It's usual, and that sound and/or seeing excess grease coming out away from the grease fitting are your clues that you have applied enough grease. You'll wanna be systematic about it, looking for each fitting on each side. Vehicles are sometimes asymetric, having one more to one side than the other, but usually involves a steering component, and should be considered "in the center", while the others remain "paired" left and right. Once out from under the vehicle, (or from underneath, if you're able to reach) check the top of each A-arm too (there's an upper and lower on each side) by reaching over/around the top of the front tire, and feeling for a "zerk"/grease fitting there too. These usually point up. Wipe up excess grease and repeat every couple of oil changes. It ain't rocket surgery, so don't be afraid to jump in there.

1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2wd pick up. Auto trans, small block V-8. Gear selector won't shift out of park with foot on brake, trans fluid is full. After spinning steering wheel right and left several...

Your shift linkage is binding up. You need to get a can of white lithium grease, go under your truck, and find where the linkage hooks to the side of the transmission. Every point that you see a connection, i.e., another rod hooking to it, or any pivot point, spray that spot. Follow it to the steering column, and grease those points as well. Work your gear shift through its range, and it should help greatly.

Loose under carriage sound

Have you checked your spare tire? Sometimes they can become loose and slap back and forth when you slow down to turn.
