SOURCE: 1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.

SOURCE: remote central locking not working on Honda CRV

Hi I wonder if you can advise me ,my central locking and alarm is very unreliable it keeps making a beep before the ignition goes on and clicking,it sometimes sets the alarm off,Ive had the AA round and theyve told me the car battery is dead, which I appreciate, but think the key hub central locking or alarm is running the battery low does the hand held button need a new battery,or can I take the fuse out for the central locking, dont want to pay 66 quid for a new battery if I can pay 2 quid for a new battery for the central locking button,or demobilize it

2011 Daihatsu Terios 1.5 2WD. Central locking stopped working but the alarm activates and deactivates but doesn't lock or unlock. Any ideas?

Question edited for clarity and spelling.
Question moved to model category.

Some ideas here, but the best way is to find a local auto electrician or an alarm installer, auto locksmith. Better to reprogram rather than disconnecting the battery.

If this aftermarket alarm is playing up then the best bet is to remove it completely before it packs up completely and leaves you stranded out in the middle of nowhere on a cold dark night.Any after market alarm or remote start is problematic when they get older and highly prone to going wrong owing to the complexity of the circuitsa and the fack they use inferior integrated circuits made in china

Cobra alarm

After market alarms are horrible on MB's as they have built in alarms. If you mean the remote your going to have to get the frequency code from the manufacturer or have the dealership program it to control the alarm if the last 1 did.

If you dont know how the system works I would suggest removing it as most systems dont work well with the pneumatic central locking and fail by burning up wiring it is connected to.

Try to check wires to the driverside central lock master motor. alarm installer probaly cut wires inorder to link the alarm to your cars central locking system.

Central lock master motor usually comes with 5 wires, two is the motor supply wire capable of reversing its polarity depending on lock or unlock request, the remaining 3 is just a swtich. One is ground and the two are negative request swtich for lock and unlock. If all fuses were good this moght be the problem, try also to check the outside fuses- in the hood. Good luck!

Changing a battery on a Cobra 7777 remote control

The battery in the 7777 remote is a CR2032. If upon changing the battery the remote fails to work then you should stand next to the car and hold down both remote buttons for around 10 seconds to reactivate it. The remotes LED will flicker rapidly during this process. Keep holding both buttons until the LED stops flickering then release both buttons. The LED should now be on constant, press the larger of the two buttons and the remote should now be re-synced.
Note: This procedure is not to program the remote to the alarm, but to re-synchronise it.
