SOURCE: Blinkers are not working on 97 Mercury Mystique

It should be under each fuse what its for, if not if there is a cover for fuse box under cover there will be a list what each fuse is for. if you don't have that than you can use a test light with key on and test each one untill you come across one that don't light and that will be it, or you can pull them out one at a time untill you find the one thats burnt.

SOURCE: When I apply my brakes to my 2000 mercury villager

visually check your bulbs on the right size, the turn signal side of the filament could have broke, and making contact with the brake side, or vice versa, one of the bulbs are bad, you can only tell by taking them out and visually inspecting them, right side only. hope this helps

Check the fuse first, after that would be the turn signal switch. Sorry, I don't have the diagram for the fuse panel. But that fuse is under the dash.

This is most likely going to be an issue with a relay. The relay on the fords that is tied into the blinker module can go bad is it gets wet or over loaded. Are there any after market things added to your vehichle? This can also be caused by overloading part of your ECU if you have after market headlights, or headlights that carry too high a load. When it blinks for 3-4 times and stops, does it blink faster than normal? This can be a sign of a false connection to the light itself. Such as having the wrong bulb in for the blinker.

No turn signals or emergency blinkers

Sounds like a multifunction switch, work the emergency flasher button up and down a few times, then attempt to work the turn signals if the signals work then you will need a multifunction switch.

1998 Ford Explorer blinker problems

you need to go back over all the bulbs. Take each one out and put it back in making sure its working properly. Most likely a bulb is not grounding. I had this on a f-150 that took two days to track down. Good luck
