  • It's a light concerning your traction control. It kicks on when a the TC detects a wheel spinning. Often times a low tire is the reason. Check and inflate all your tires and see if this fixes the problem. If not then your Traction Control could be malfunctioning.

In snow it shows "traction def"


I have the same problem in my 1996 4.6 HSE R R. I find that by just easing off the 'gas' solves the problem. It could be that your revs are too high and traction is lost as a result. If it persists then consider going into 4 wheel drive which will eliminate the problem until you are on more solid, ice free surfaces. Hope that helps.

The big Belt for the AC,Cooling,Auternator etc. slept off. I stopped the car imediatly. Range Rover P38 1999. The Engine sounds still healthy. Will there be big damage after all?

I have a 1998 Range Rover HSE. The ABS, TC amd Brake light stay on and now I have noticed that it is becoming harder and harder to stop. It literally feels like I dont have any brakes at all. I have to pretty much push the brake petal all the eay down in order to get it to stop. I had the pads and rotors about 6 months ago and I don't know what to do! Help please

If you have a weak battery, change it, the electronics on a P38 are a nightmare,
