SOURCE: Will not start

if the lights work it is not the battery. The battery controls your lights. It could be your starter. try tapping the litte round part of it with a crow bar or something, and if the POV wants to start or attempt you know thats the problem.

you can also check all your battery conections and insure that there isnt any corrision on them

SOURCE: Engine cranks but won't start, no fuel. Fuel

you going to have to narrow it down to see what part is defective. first check make sure you getting sparks by pulling one of the cable and use spare plug and ground it making sure you getting fire when turning engine over. 4 things need to check for fuel delivery. fuse, relay, fuel pump and crank sensor. assumed fuse and relay are good, using 12v light tester locate the fuel pump connectors and connect pos and neg terminal and have someone turn engine over and see is you getting any power to the pump, if the pump is good, crank sensor will be faulty, what crank sensor does it sense the flywheel turning sending info to the ECU then the ECU send power to the fuel pump. keep in mind, fuel pump will only turn on as long the crank sensor sense the flywheel turning.

I have a 1993 1.3l ford fiesta mk3 I had a accident and airbage went off the car is ok just bumper and headlight but won't start now just turns over no damage to engine Is there a reset I need to do

Fuel reset button-or, Fuel Inertia Switch-cuts power to fuel pump in an accident to prevent fires starting. This switch should be in the trunk area, it is small, probably behind a trim piece or carpet, and to reset you just push the button in. Turn the key to on and you should hear the fuel pump buzz for a couple of seconds to prime the fuel system for starting. If the switch was tripped, it should now start.

Ford fiesta not starting

Look up the term "Inertia switch" for your vehicle and year. Then add the word location. You will then be able to find the part on your car Usually they are around the front floor kick panel on one side or the other,

The part has a reset button on it to restore power to the fuel pump.

Will not start

Assuming it is a fuel issue, if you have an electric fuel pump like my F-250 Super Duty Diesel, make sure it is working. Start simple. Check the fuse to the fuel pump. If fuse OK, check the accident reset button (see owner's manual for location). End by pulling the fuel line, turn the key to the "on" postion and see if fuel flows. Be sure to catch the fuel in a container - don't want to make a mess. Good luck!

No power to fuel pump on 1999 crown victoria

Hello abzalkhan193
Heres a few things to check that could cut power to the fuel pump. The fuel pump inertia shutoff sw
in the trunk on the left side, there is a reset button on the switch if you push the button down and
you hear/feel a click then the switch was tripped and you just reset it. The switch's job is to cut off
the fuel in case of an accident. Next, the fuel pump fuse located in the battery fuse block under the
hood on the right fender well, fuse #1 20amp fuse. Next, the fuel pump relay, the relay is located in
relay center on the left fender well. Hope this is helpful.

Engine cranks but won't start, no fuel. Fuel pump and filter just changed. Accident button reset although the button feels free, no clicking or activating.

Accident + car fuses?

This could be caused by what is called a "fuseable link" it is a piece of wire that is designed to carry only so much amperage (current) sometimes when you have an accident and you have electrical shorts caused by the accident the fuseable link will break because of the electrical short. Some cars have fuseable links going to the starter solinoid and if these short out the car will not start. On the focus the fuel cut off switch is located on the passenger kick panel under the dash. The ones I have seen have a red button and you have to press down on them to reset them.
