1981 chevrolet c-10 only reverse works

Truck will move very slowly in drive but at very high RPMs, only reverse works fine

Transmission slipping,this is not the torque convertor, you would not even have reverse, You can adjust the band, when you adjust the band in doing so it holds the transmission drum and there it transfers power,So the transmission band is worth your try, if it fails you need a transmission

I had new clutches put in my 4l60 transmisson I put the transmisson back in an now it want hardly pull itself in drive but will do fine in reverse. What could cause that?

99 expedition 4x4 drives in reverse fine. but forward only at 3000 rpms it moves slowly
