SOURCE: Cant find the oil filter on a Ford E150 Van

Under the engine, between the rear of the engine and the front of the transmission. It will be on a mount with an oil cooler, (it has metal fins) on the driver's side.

SOURCE: I need change the automatic transmission fluid Explorer 2002 E.B.

There IS a transmission drain plug on the 2002 Ford Explorer! It is, however, difficult to get the fluid back in as there IS NO dipstick (tube) to refill it. I installed the pan bolts far enough to hold the pan up (level) and then stuck a hose (attached to a funnel at top of engine compartment) through the opening between the pan and the bottom of the transmission. I was able to put five quarts in that way - no more as it will overflow (trust me). You can check other sites on how to check to see if that's enough and how to add more as needed. That's not simple either. Great idea Ford Motor Company (sarcasm) !!!!!!

SOURCE: 2002 toyota sienna change transmission fluid and

The drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission. Its torqued to 49 nM.
1. Remove tranny oil pan drain plug
2. Drain old fluid (roughly 2-4 quarts)
3. Reinstall drain plug.
4. Measure amount drained in a 99 cent orange juice pitcher from Walmart
5. Pour back the same amount drained using Toyota Type T-IV fluid (available in 1 quart bottles from a Toyota dealer.
6. Start engine and shift slowly through all the gears ending in Park.
7. Check fluid level on the dipstick. Add fluid, if necessary, to bring the level to a point inbetween the COLD and HOT marks on the dipstick.
8. Go for a 20 minute drive and recheck fluid level. Add fluid, if necessary, to bring the level up to,
but not beyond, the upper half of the HOT range on the dipstick.

As in 1973, NO FLUSHING is needed and NO FILTER REPLACEMENT is needed, NO PAN REMOVAL is needed. As, as in 1973 todays Toyotas have a metal mesh filter screen that doesn't ever get clogged except in rare cases of transmission operational abuse, including failure to ever change the fluid for 150,000 miles or more.

What tuneup should I do at 65000

no tune up needed until 100000 miles. run a couple of fillups of Shell or Chevron premium gas thru it to clean out fuel system and clean engine. Walmart fuel station also have gas additive you can buy with your gas.

I have a 92 e150 van with a V8 automatic transmission with overdrive. After sitting in my driveway for two months it won't shift into overdrive but goes into what feels like neutral at 45 mph......What's...

the throttle valve is stuck in the valve body. it is the valve connected to the cable that goes to the throttle body. changing fluid and using an additive for this symtom and a long drive to heat it up good to lossen it will help it. if you do the fluid change and drop the pan locate it by following that cable from throttle to transmission's side and see if you can move it free.

good luck man
