    teds repairs Dec 03, 2012

you need to check to see if the gaskets stayed ,and here is a fast way to tight bolt down when you need to torque them I do so many that I do not use my torque wrench. here is what you do is put the socket on the first bolt and you are to vision a circle around the bolt.then vision the circle in four pieces and turn the a quarter turn it is hard but need s to be done

  • teresa Dec 03, 2012

ok is that all the steps?

Have 2001 mercury sable LS changed plugs, wires, egr valve after the computer said it was egr valve. still have a bucking problem. what could it be?

Computers do not diagnose your vehicle
They do not tell you what is wrong or what
to replace.

Study OBD2 Systems

You just got an EGR Code, that
had to be diagnosed

CHECK THE COILPACKS. YOU MAY HAVE A COIL THAT IS NOT PRODUCING A HOT ENOUGH SPARK ON TWO CYLINDERS. I HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA.

2000 Mercury Sable 24V 3.o engine. Need to know

yes about the upper intake and the only way i know how to check the coils is with a engine anilyser or if the check engine light comes on then you can have the codes pulled and that will tell you which cylender is missfiring this engine has a indevidual coil for each spark plug so thares 6 of them and thay slide right down over the sparkplugs

Next change swap the injector with another and see of the problem moves.  If it does it's a bad injector.
