Don't let anyone put a (patch) on the bad spot, the entire line
should be replaced, lines are cheap ,maybe 15 bucks at the worst
labor is another thing ,my shop it would be about 80 bucks.

SOURCE: Alternator and belt tension

I removed the alternator for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I started by removing the belt, by placing a 1/2" ratchet in the groove on the belt tension pulley. Once the belt was removed I removed the two bolts holding the alternator in place and the wiring. The alternator bracket held the alternator tightly, it took a little persuasion with a heavy hammer and a piece of wood. The wood protected the alternator from damage. I also, had to remove the battery box and top radiator hose to get enough room to hammer the alternator out of the bracket. Putting the new one in also, took lite taps with a hammer to place it in the bracket.

SOURCE: How to replace headlights on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

One long bolt at the top - requires a 7mm socket to remove the bolt. The light housing will pry out with a screw driver. There are three ball and socket type connectors that hold the housing in and I just pryed off the plastic housing carefully and "balls" pop out of the sockets. Finally, I was replacing the faded plastic housing and it came with a new wiring harness. It's impossible to reach the connector to use the new wiring harness that comes with the new plastic light housing. So just use the existing wiring harness with the new light assembly.

Need to remove rear brake line on a 1999 Jeep WJ. Need a diagram to figure out how to remove the correct one since only one has a hole in it..

Removing brake line tubing & having a diagram
are unrelated

You simply use a small wrenches to loosen the fittings

Your going to need to buy tubing at the auto parts store,
cut, flair & bend, as necessary, to fabricate the rusted out
one your replacing, you can't buy ready made tubing, even
for a new car

The brake and turning lights are on a different switch than the tail lights. Check the fuse for the brake light circuit. Check to see if your front turning lights work. My guess is they won't work either.

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L front passenger brake sticks

First you must look closely at the caliper and determine if it is sticking on the slide or is the piston sticking. If it is the piston you would have to rebuild the caliper or replace the caliper. If it is the slides, you need to sand and clean all the slide contacts and lube the slide with lithium grease or never seize grease. Then you can reinstall the caliper and you will be fine. Also when checking if the piston is sticking try loosening the line and see if it retracts, if it does you may have a bad flex hose going to the caliper holding pressure on the caliper.

How do I remove the front rotors on a 2002 jeep grand cherokee

Remove the wheel, remove the brake caliper and the rotor should come right off. If not, look for any small attachment screws sometimes used to hold the rotor to the hub. if you have them they will be on the wheel mounting flat on the rotor between the lug studs. Use wd40 around the hub where it joins the rotor if it's rusted on and tap on rotor by placing a 2x4 laid flat on rotor itself and giving it a shot with a hammer or use a rubber mallet. (most nearly fall off after the caliper is off though)
