SOURCE: 97 Nissan Pickup transmission swap for 95 or 96 transmission?

yes this will fit, model years 88-97 will fit. I would recommend the newest model you can get, as they improved internal hardware after 93. hopefully this helps

SOURCE: I need to know what kind of transmission fluid to

Check you owner's manual. Igf you no longer have it then call a nissan dealer. Last resort is to go to an auto parts store and they should be able to help you. You just need to be careful . If they do noyt look it up then I would go somewhere else and ask the question again. If you get the same answer at two or more places then you should be good to go.

SOURCE: How do I remove/install a starter on 1996 nissan

this is pretty cut and dry, remove neg battery terminal, raise vehicle if needed, remove the wiring from the back of starter, then remove the two starter mounting bolts and pull starter out, to install reverse directions, good luck.

Can't locate filler plug on 1996 Nissan pickup standard transmission

Manual trans fluid is checked by removing the fill plug located on the transmission on the driver's side. it is a 1/2" square drive flush mounted plug.

Do you check the automatic trans fluid in park ,neutral, or drive on a 1993 nissan v6 pickup 4 x 4

The automatic transmission fluid level should be checked with the vehicle on level ground with it in park and running at normal operating temperature.

How much fluid does the manual transmission take on a 96 nissan pick up? Also what type of oil does it take?

with a manual transmission you fill till it comes out the plug on the side I would guess between 3 and 5 liters with your vehicle as for the oil you should get it from Nissan just tell them what model truck you have.

Need to replace the starter in my 96 nissan pickup but not sure where it is in the engine compartment...

typically the right side of the motor (standing in front of the pulleys whether your motor is transverse(sideways) or not) it's accessable from under the truck around the back of the motor where the transmission connects. the starter spins the flywheel (manual) or flexplate (automatic) to get your truck rolling. if its a stick shift and worse comes to worse and you dont want to monkey with it always park on a hill (easire said than done) and pop start it :-)
