If the coolant level in your reserve tank seems to be going up, instead of down, you may need to check for a leaking head gasket or intake manifold gasket. Escaping exhaust gas from the combustion process will send bubbles into your coolant, expanding it to more than system capacity. This will also cause engine problems pretty quickly, too.

If your concern is that there's a puddle of coolant under your car after you've parked it, another problem could be a cracked reservoir. These are essentially large plastic jugs, and they're exposed to a lot of heating up / cooling down cycles. Replacing a cracked coolant reservoir is dramatically cheaper than having engine work done, so I hope that's your problem.

Good luck.

Coolant overflowing

Are the fans operating? If not, check fuse, relay and the thermal switch. One of them is likely bad. It is also possible the electric fan has failed.

Hello, i just bought a 1994 grand cherokee jeep, i noticed that when i stop for a long time w/ aircon on, the temperature starts to rise, and also i found out that thier was no reservor tank extended on...

find a similar car at a local junkyard, have them remove the overflow tank and sell it to you. you can do this over the phone though some junkyards actually have their inventory online. there are also scavengers selling parts on ebay and craigslist go look there for jeep parts.

My brake light has started coming on? Does that mean that the brake fluid is low? The brakes are not making any noise and they seem to be stopping ok.

Probably. If flushing and replacing the fluid (not just topping off) doesn't help, then take it to a mechanic.

Overheating / Stem from water / coolent reservor

that did not sound like any fun. most likely your water pump has failed on you. you will want to replace both timing belt and rollers and tensioner. they most likely will have been soaked by coolant also the want to look at the coolant flange on the drivers side of the engine block. if it is leaking or not the burning smell is probably the oil leaking onto the exhuast manifold from a leaking v/c cover gasket.hope it helps good luck.
