My 1997 Lumina drain valve is plastic it will not come off it has wings the wings will break off if i try to hard turning it

Are you talking about the drain valve to the radiator? If you are wanting to drain the antifreeze from the radiator and engine,I always loosen the hose clamp on the bottom hose that goes to the radiator to drain,it comes out fast.Make sure your pets are not around when doing this,it is fatal to them if they drink.

I need to drain the radiator on the Eldorado and refill it.

The radiator drain is on the back of the radiator plastic side tank in the back it faces the engine, the drain looks like an old fashioned clock winding key head, turn it counter clockwise to loosen while gently pull out to released from O ring seal. You must do this from under the car, it should be on the drivers side. If you have trouble turning it they make a special tool for about $4 that you can buy at any parts store like NAPA or Carquest..

Diagram for draining radiator of 1993 cherokee

There is a petcock valve at the bottom of the radiator to drain the fluid. It is on the backside of the radiator and is shaped sort of like butterfly wings. You can tighten and loosen with your fingers,, no tools needed.

Do I need a tool to drain the radiator on a 2003 GMC SONOMA

There is a drain at the bottom of the radiator. Be careful, it is plastic, just turn it gently to the left. It wont be on the bottom of radiator, but bottom, of face facing engine. Recommend to remove radiator cap, coolant will flow much faster

Where is the radiator drain on a 2003 Chevy blazer v6 and do you need a special tool?

There is a draincock on the bottom of your radiator (probably hidden by the splash gaurd). You can either take the splash guard from the vehicle to drain the radiator, or disconnect the lower radiator hose. Both methods will allow you to drain the radiator.

96 Grand Am radiator

if you don't have a draining nozzle at the bottom of your radiator than you'll have to disconnect your bottom radiator hose to drain the radiator fluid.Easy to do,but just make sure you have a drain bucket handy when you take the radiator hose off.Radiator hose is just ckamped on and most likely the only tool you need is a flat head screwdriver to loosen up the clamp and pull the radiator hose off.
