You have a blockage somewhere in the evaporative system, that will cause fuel to spill when fuelling.
have a scan done to determine why the check engine light is on.

How do I adjust the CO and fuel/air mixture

the CO and fuel/air mixture is not adjustable on modern cars , only on carburettors . the engine management system will ensure correct fuelling, if there is a fault with this then in most cases an engine management light will illuminate on the dash board

International. Flat head six diesel wont run. Spray starting fliud will start then die changed fuel filter checked fuses still wont run

If it will start and run with starting fluid or gasoline you have a fuelling problem and so will need to find out why you are not getting fuel into the engine. Fuel pump maybe??

Fuel in my oil 6.6 durmax

1.Check your fuel injectors, they may be over fuelling the combustion chambers they may need replacement.

2.Check your oxygen air flow sensor.

If problem persists, then you might consider an engine overhaul, since
your compression rings allow fuel to sip through to the oil sump.

Just purchased a 2002 A6. After fueling, the check engine light came on. Why?

Did you have it runnning while you filled it up. If so give it a few days of running to clear it. These newer systems check the fuel tank pressure for certain values. High and low. If it was running while fuelling the pressure went too low and set the code. Good Luck

Low fuell engine light came on and i drove the car about 4 miles home. the next day the car would not start. I put 5 gal. of gas into it but it still wont start.

running low on fuel with a electronic fuel pump is not a wise idea that can cause the fuel pump to run dry and lock up!! also can airlock the fuel lines check the fuel filter to see if it's clogged up! also losen the fuel line at the filter and crank the engine to see if its pumping if not then change the pump

I smell gas fumes coming from my car when i park and turn off the ignition

normally fumes come in to vehicle when stopped because of oil leak from rocker cover but check your fuel filler cap seal etc and also incase the tank is leaking just have a sniff at the rear of the car if its the filler cap or tank filler you normally get smell when tank is nearly full and been around a few corners the fuell filler nect becomes pourous and just spills out a bit if so will need replacing .but most time its an oil leak from rocker box or engine
