SOURCE: how do you replace a window regulator on a 2001

Go to the free Kia tech website: http://www.kiatechinfo.com/index.asp You will find detailed instructions under the 2001 "MS" series Kia Optima. It is exactly the same as your Sonata. The site is free and anybody can access it. Just register, and allow some time to learn to navigate around. it can be tricky at first. Good luck, and remember to have your window securly taped fully closed. this will make it easier and quicker. best of luck!

Passenger side window on a 2013 Kenworth straight truck will not go up or down. Put a new module in. Power at the switch and module. Is there a relay in the system for the R/S window?

My guess, relay would do all windows. Cables may have gone inside, rusted or tangled. Not keeping finger on button too long, can you hear the window motor when button pressed? If so, motor is good and points to cables.

My passenger door window will not go up on my 2001 mercedes c 240, the light on the button just dims when I try to put it up,any ideas what the problem might be?

Hi

It sounds like the cable that runs the electric motor up and down has either snapped or got tangled, they are made from steel wire, if a clip breaks or the wire jumps out of it;s guides then the cable gets trapped and tangles, only solution I can off is to remove the inside door trim to expose the metal fram of the door, remove the plastic curtain carefully then take a look inside the door, if the cable has done this then you might as well cut it and push the window up manually, once they go like this you have to replace them anyhow. you can buy after market window regulators ready to fit, these are much cheaper by, less than half that of the dealer.

Hope this helps

Rear passenger window won't roll up after I rolled it down I can hear the motor but nothing happens. I can't even pull the window back up with my hands.

These models are prone to corrosion of the winder cable mechanism due to water ingress from the window rubber seals being poor so, the money is on a broken winder cable. Hope this helps
