It could be your power stearing pump. But it sounds more like a vacuum leak to me. Does it go away when you speed up your motor or get louder? It also could be just a belt. Or a tension pully.

possible that either your brake pads,or shoes are not backing off after they have after they were applied,, after a little ride around stop and feel the front wheels see if both front wheels feels hot or warm,,if 1 is hotter than the other your brake cylinder may be seized,[the hottest 1 will be the problem

2006 Ford Freestar Whistling Vacuum Sucking Sound

It very well could be a vac leak or a problem with the air filter box.
If you can make the sound happen sitting in park, have someone listen around the engine compartment with a section of heater hose while you operate the controls.

Why does noise happen when i'm driving, releasing steam, whistling, hissing

Your cooling system is not working properly. You should have this looked at immediately. Could be a stuck thermostat. Is your engine temp running hot?

Audi a3 tdi 140 turbo sounds like its whistling for england why?

Turbo vehicles often sound like they are whistling when the turbo spools up because it is sucking in air at a high rate and it makes a bit of a whistling sound. Generally not a problem unless it is a different whistling that you are referring to.

I got a 99 sentra keeps over heating just recently changed thermosat and flushed raditor and i hear a whistling noise near firewall on the passanger side

there is probably air in the heater core,if you are fairly familiar with your car simply run the car 20 minutes with the radiator cap removed make sure to keep an eye on it a little spillage is normal do not remove the radiator cap when hot, turn the heat on high , be prepared to fill radiator with coolant as it will probably need some all if you are not familiar with your car have a certified tech perform this procedure for you

Whistling noise

You are right. It is air leaking. You either have a vacuum line off the engine, or a leaking gasket in the intake manifold area. It could also be your PVC valve is out of it's grommet in the valve cover. You can locate the leak with the car running by using a mechanic's stethoscope. Just use it WITHOUT the metal pickup rod and diaphragm. Probe the open tube end around areas that sound like they leak or whistle. You can also use a can of carb spray. Just carefully spray around gasket surfaces and when the engine rpm raises, you've found it. Be very careful around a hot engine so you don't start a fire using this method.
