Change fuse for the cigarette lighter point on ford fiesta 03

There isn't a fuse fitted for the cigarette lighter point on my ford fiesta finesse 03. i have bought a 15amp mini fuse for it, it is the correct size but doesn't stay in the slot when pushed in. i have noticed that there isn't any silver connectors(or what ever there called) in the plastic fuse slot for the metal fuse pins to push into nice and securely.(the other slots for different fuses have got metal connectors inside them) can i buy these metal connectors anywhere and can i do it myself? thankyou

I have the same problem in a 2003 Ford Fusion. It's like the inner contact of the socket had gone backwards.

some v.w 's have the fuse box behind the glove compartment, and some are under the hood. if it is behind the glove box you need to disassemble it to get to the fuse box.

SOURCE: cigarette lighter fuse location

The cigarette fuse is located in the battery junction box under the hood, it is fuse # 10 and is a 20A fuse, open the hood and find the box it is on the passenger side towards the back of the compartment, it is 10th in line on the top row, also you can check these fuses without removing them through the clear plastic top so that should make things a little easier too, hope this helps

I had exactly same problem. I could not use my GPS or charge my cell phone.
In front of the driver sit, there are actually 2 fuse boxes. You probably found the first one. A second one is located above well hidden. Once you find it, you'll find the fuse you are looking for.

Cigarette lighter ans accessour power point not working... it's not the fuse

I had a similar problem I thought it wasn't the fuse because I had only checked one but there are two cigarette fuses. Also you can replace the whole cigarette lighter if it is getting power to it. If it isn't there might be a bad wire leading to it. Get a test light to see if it's getting power through the fuses hole.

WHERE IS FUSES FOR CIGARETTE LIGHTERS LOCATED

Should be under the steering wheel like any other car. There is a box. Just open up the box (You may need to pry off the cover with a flat head screw driver). I own a 91 Explorer and there is a diagram right on the back of the cover along with a fuse pulling tool. The owners manual will also have a diagram. Look for the terms "Accessory", "Lighter", "Socket" etc. Any Ford I've ever seen supplies power to the cigarette lighter even when the car isn't running so it will be easy to test.

Can't access fusebox to change to fuse in my Fiesta Finesse 2004

You have mini blade fuses in your ford. One of the fuse boxes should have a fuse puller in it. If not then get some long nose pliers to grab it and pull it out. And a way to help clean that out is to get a baby bottle brush to run through it. Just make sure its dry and clean before you try it, other wise it can rust and corrode in the housing and cause more trouble.

2002 ford fiesta cigarette lighter not working. Required for sat nav can you suggest a solution?

First check the fuse for the lighter, if the fuse is ok then the wire has fallen off from the rear post of the lighter, it's a common problem just squeeze it with a pair of pliers and slide it back on, if it does not fix it go to a parts shop and buy a replacement and install it comes apart like opening a jar unscrew it counter clock wise and it will come off, it is 2 inches in length and has threads that long.

Replacing a cig lighter on a fiesta 03

Try a small amount of light oil...like sewing machine oil....don't squirt it all over the place like you are lubing up bearing....but let it sit there for a while.....might be sort of rusted in place. Use a pair of pliers and loosen it with a twisting motion....not pulling.
