Question about 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab

1 Answer

When the weather is very humid, I try to start my 2001 F250 Super Duty 5.4L it bogs down and eventually dies.

Happens when weather is humid. Start my truck, and it starts very erratic, stays started, then bogs down and dies. If I put the foot in the gas while starting, it will rev up. Eventually lining out and running fine. Has been doing this more often of late.

If you put a scanner on it and you have no misfire codes I would be looking at either an egr valve stuck open a little or a bad Idle Air Control Valve

Ok you have no pressure from fuel pump to the injectors and you replaced the pump. Sounds as if you need to check or replace the relays which send the signal from your ignition switch to your fuel pump to engage/shutoff. Warm weather area sorry doesn't really apply unless you're in an older carburated vehicle

2001 ford 250 s/dv-10turns over fine. wont start sometimes.when it starts it runs fine.seems like cold weather makes it worse.if it starts it wont die.started about a month ago and getting worse.

Make sure the battery doesn't have a dead cell or is over two years old first. Then depending on usage I would definately think about getting a new starter. I would suspect your battery first, due to the cold weather corrolation.
