Question about 2008 Nissan Sentra
On the earth wire generaly black put ajump wire to the body and test. or check the power feed with the brake pedal on using a test light. this test will show you if it is a faulty harness wiring.

check the fuses- some car makes uses individual fuses per side. Just saw that in a mitsubishi- I believe Nissan does that too. Those fuses are probably under your hood.

This is fairly easy,just open the trunk of the car go to the side you need to change,pull away the covering,there maybe plastic pins so use a flat point screw driver to remove gentle,you will see the wires and plastic bracket around it,twist the entire bracket anti-clockwise and you should be able to pull the bracket out with the bulbs inserted.gentle pull the bulb out and replace as needed

some vehicles have relays for low and high beams on each side - 4 total - have you checked this?
