Battery maybe good, but could be drained out. You may need to charge the battery or check the connection to the battery.

My 1993 Jaguar XJ6 wont turn over..the lights on the dashboard wont come on but the radio works and all the lights in the car..someone help please.

I recommend you have your battery tested. The starter requires MUCH more power than the radio does. You could also see if the car starts with a jump start. Also, as a general rule, a battery is only good for 3-4 years so if it is older than that it wants to be replaced anyhow : )

Good luck!!!

could be the battery still or it could be your battery head isnt contacting well. wen your rev the battery is good for some time and later thesame problem then i think your alternator isnt charging your battery which kills battery life span. try all this and if no charge get back to me.

My 2003 passat 4 cyl 1.8 wont start, buttery reads ok, all lights in dashboard are ok, tryed to jumpstart and won't start, what could I check or do?

If the car will not turn over and just clicks when you try to start, Then it is a dead cell in your battery. You will get good voltage and lights will work but you will not get the current you need to turn the starter.

Hi it sounds like a bettery fault, check the battery leads are on tight and all have a good connection.
Also ensure the earth lead from the battery has a good contact on the car body.

Lights flicker, console goes crazy, clicking noise, wont start

Check grounds at engine, firewall, both fenders and dashboard. Make sure that connections at the battery are clean and solid. Also have battery charged and load tested or regardless of what you do if the battery isn't good, nothing will work right.

2000 Buick Regal LS 3.6 - Flashing Dashboard Lights/Wont start

Most likely it is the ignition switch (the key ignition switch) in the steering column ($100 at a dealer).

It may be a loose negative battery ground cable, too.
Check the negative battery cable where it conencts to the engine ground. It may be loose, corroded, damaged, or otherwise not making a good ground contact.

Add a grounding strap ($11 - AutoZone) from the engine to the chassis. That may help, but it's most likely the ignition switch.
