SOURCE: Broken hood release cable 1996 Ford F150 pickup

On each side of the latch there is an 8mm screw that can be removed through the front, between the hood and grill They are aprox 6" apart.

The latch itself has two locator pins that slide into the front suppoprt behind the grill.

After removing the two screws, gently pry the whole latch away from the support. The hood can be raised, taking the latch with it.

Access to the release lever is behind the latch. It is now exposed.
pull the tiny release lever toward the drivers side and latch will come loose. Good luck!

SOURCE: i have a 2001 ford mustang and i need the diagram

Get on google and type in 2001 ford mustang spark plug diagram.
Something should pop up that might work for you.
Usually if your changing the plugs just look for the wires that run on either side of the engine above the exhaust headers and just pull one off at a time and use a deep socket to remove them but you can go to any auto parts store and have them look up the pre gaped plugs so all you have to do is remove the old and put the new in. Very easy to do.

I have a 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX. The problem I am having is when I go to pop the hood, it won't. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the cable is bad. The one that runs underneath steering column to hood release. I had this same problem. You will need a length of flexible yet strong wire or cable and a light. Look in the front grill where the hood latch is. There should be a spot to loop wire over. You then pull left or right cannot remember now...but this should pop your hood. I had this same problem on my 89 an eventually went to a junk yard and got the whole cable from under dash to under hood and replaced it. Not to hard but a slight pain in the ****. Hope this helps!

Can not completely close the hood

Make sure there are no obstuctions under the hood.
Check your release cable, make sure it's working
properly to the latch. Check to make sure the latch is
open. Push the release all the way in.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
