Call GM dealer service and they should be able to give you an idea over the phone. Describe the EXACT problem to them.
This could be a bad keyswitch or a key gone bad. Could be bad switch down on steering coumn which keyswitch actuates. Hard to say. don-ohio

My car wont turn over but tells me my key is bad

you cannot start your vehicle with a failed PATS key
your key houses a micro chip that communicates with the vehicles computer telling it that you are the rightful owner
the battery that powers the chip has died and the chip no longer communicates time for a dealership visit

Turn key wont crank

Possible issues: too many to list

Do you hear a clicking sound when you turn the key to "START"? If so, I'd say your battery is dead.

Do any of your gauge lights, head lights, radio, etc. work just fine? If so, I'd guess you have a bad ignition, bad coil, or bad starter.

Likely issues:
Dead battery
Bad coil
Bad ignition switch
Bad starter

Electronic immobilizer

The "immobilizer" isn't just one specific part. It's a combination of parts. ECU, Instrument Panel, Key and a Relay Box. Saying "the immobilizer might be bad" is a sign to me that they have no idea what they are talking about. You'd be much better off taking it to an independent shop that specializes in German cars.

That said, a battery going dead doesn't cause the immobilizer to lose the key programming. HOwever, when you program keys, they must all be done at the same time. You can't add one individually, they have to be done all at once. And yes, you need special equipment to program a key. There is an aftermarket diagnostic equipment called "VCDS" or "VAG COM" that can be used for the same purposes, most independent shops will have one of these. You can also buy one yourself:

They have a comprehensive manual explaining the process of programming keys.

I have a problem with 2005 sprinter i turn the key and cluster says start erroe

Sorry to say, but your key has lost it's security code. If you have another key, try it, sometimes that is all it is. It may or may not work. If you continue to get the error code the immobilizer will need to be replaced or reprogramed. Good luck, i hope this helps.

Have a 2008 jeep grand cherokee laredo put key in ignition and dash board says damaged key and another service security key jeep wont start

This sounds like a bad chip in the key, try a spare key, if it starts with spare key then key is bad, if it doesnt start then you will need reprograming
