thanks for the advice, We sent the truck to the ford shop, they hooked up the computers, found nothing. Let it run long enough to burn up nearly 1/2 tank of gas. Unplugged the MAF sensor and plugged ot back in and they said it quit dieing. I brought it home yesterday, it did not die but it still falters. Especially under a load. We did not replace MAf sensor as we have replaced $500 worth of parts that has not fixed the problem..... any more advice?

You also might want to check the fuel relay, see if it's been burnt out.

If the truck is still having issues, you might wish to look at the TPS (throttle position sensor). If it's sitting at too low of a position (broken spring usually), it could be killing the truck.

What exactly have you replaced so far?

If they pulled the MAF and it stopped for a short period of time, it might be the wiring for it.

My next reccomendation is to try tracing the MAF wiring, see if there's any crimps, kinks, or burns on it, and do the same for the ECU. (I know it's a royal pain, but a lot of times, a charred wire can cause a LOT of grief)

The faltering under load sounds like it could be one of the following:

    Fuel Pump
    Fuel Regulator
    Fuel Relay
    MAF
    O2 Sensor
    Spark Plug
    TPS
    Clogged Injector/Failed Injector

Have you run any cleaners through the fuel system since you got the truck? If not, I recommend SeaFoam, it's what I use.

The fuel pressure sounds too low. Is it multi-port injection? Check the fuel pressure against your specs for the car and engine. MPFI systems usually require 40-50 psi.

If you changed the fuel filter 2 weeks ago, I would first verify that the fuel filter is good! Dirt from the tank could have clogged it up again.

The next suspect would be the fuel pump in the tank.

What does the vehecile act like if you rev the engine up in neutral? Does it show any signs of fuel starvation? If so concentrate on fuel system.

My f350 will start no problem. but it sputers and will die after a few seconds then i have to turn it over a few times before it starts

A thought would be to check your filters fuel and air if that doesnt help check fuel pressure your fuel pump may be on the way out.

check air flow duct where the throttle valve is . check the pvc valve . make sure it isnt stuck open. check the egr valve . it will stick open stall out motor .use a scanner it will tell you if you got egr valve problems. check fuel pressure. it could be stop up fuel filter bad fuel pump fuel pump relay.your car problem sound like a major vacuum leak . change spark plug and wires if they have not been change in a while. it could idle air control. hook a scanner .it could give you a code.

2000 F350 Super Duty V10 Power problem, Truck starts up ok, but has a problem on acceleration, I changed the fuel and air filter with no difference. I checked my fuel pressures and they seem low to...

Your choises are...bad fuel pump, restricted fuel filter (new?) bad fuel pressure regulator...out of gas....can you pinch off the return fuel line to the tank? some are rubber and some are hard plastic...dont pinch the plastic. This will give you the unregulated pump pressure. If it doesn't go up you have a bad pump or it's drawing air from the tank (pick up restricted/fell off or no fuel) if pressure goes way up and runs good your regulator is bad
