Question about Cars & Trucks
I replaced the original tires at 55000 miles with chrome wheels and started having air leaks. The tire shop would put a sealer on the wheels and it helped but did not stop the problem until I had a tire lose all the air while driving. The tire could not be repaired, and the tire shop replaced it. I then went to a Lincoln dealer, they sanded all the wheels and put a sealer on them. So far so good. Is this a problem with chrome wheels? A sales man at the dealer said chrome wheels are no longer available and thought the problem might be coming from dust from the brake pads working on the chrome after a few years. Is there any kind of silent recall with this problem or any payment for the cost of having it fixed?
