Question about 1998 Cadillac Catera
Showing a Autozone tester read I need to fix my speed sensor P0501. I bought it and replaced it and it didn't fix my problem. I also had my ABS, TS, and engine light on but my speedometer and odometer never worked since I bought it. Now it's time to get my DEQ and I'm screwed. What else should I try or did I disconnect the battery put the new sensor in change a bad fuze that keeps going out to my trunk and gas switch. then I turned it on and nothing except the engine light went off witch is tipical when you disconnect the battery. Please help
You don't understand the purpose of the OBD Codes
They do not tell you what is wrong or to replace anything
You never try anything
You retrieve the codes
Then use daignostic factory charts to find the problem
that caused the codes
That is why most people use a repair shop or dealer
No parts ever get installed until component tested & fail a test
You have no component knowledge,or testin skills & you are
as you said Screwed

You need to have an OBII scan done. (fault scan) They'll pull the fault codes from your computer and that will identify what actually is causing your lights/issues. It sounds like you have multiple issues
