Where is the cooling fan sensor located?

The coolant temperature sensor is an input to the engine computer PCM , if there were a problem with the sensor the engine light would be on , is your check engine light on ? There is a fan control relay an a fan controller - electronic module ! If your cooling fans are not working look for one of these being bad !
GT Fan Control Module I have searched the internet for a fan control module for an 03 eclipse gt. I am not sure if that's the exact term for it but, it's the "box" on the back of the driver side radiator fan that connects the three connector plugs that controls the fans into it. My problem is that neither radiator fan works but, when I tap the back of the box the driver side fan try's to come on but will not stay on. The car will overheat if left sitting for awhile, I haven't let it completely overheat and turned it off before it got too hot. When I'm driving it stays in the normal range about half way up the gauge but if I stop it starts going up. If anyone knows where I can get one of these "boxes" that would greatly help me. Thanks

Compressor Clutch disengages and Radiator Fan starts to run loudly

The radiator fan should turn on when the a/c clutch engages as this is designed to increase the cooling of the engine as the a/c increases the engine loading. But the compressor clutch should stay engaged as long as there is need for cooling, and disengage/re-engage as the temperature control calls for cool air. The radiator fan will shut off IF the engine temperature is cool enough to do so, as it is regulated by heat, as well as the A/c override.

If your air conditioning is not cooling the car and the clutch is simply disengaging prematurely, have the temperature control and relay checked for proper operation. Also have the refrigerant level checked to assure there is adequate refrigerant in the system and no leaks. My first bet would be the relay or the thermostatic temperature control under the dash.

When I shut off the engine on my 2003 GMC Yukon XL the cooling fan does not shut off Trying to find the relay for the fan but can't locate in under hood fuse box

the cooling fan is suppose to stay on for a short period to help cool the water in the radiator. it is controlled by a thermostate.

Radiator fan stays on even after engine is off and cold

A thermal switch controls cooling fan operation independently. If the cooling fan keeps running long after shutdown, that switch may have become too independent and will have to be replaced

Why does my fan keep running in my 2003 Volvo S 60 after the car is off?

It can be faulty fan relay. The relay is not turning the system off.Or its wire short issue.Even with ignition off ,the fan relay is getting power so its not letting the fan to turn off.Bypass the fan control relay and see if still the fan works with ignition off or not.

Whay does my radiator fan stay on whaen i turn the car off

It stays on to continue cooling the contents of the radiator, which remain hot even after you turn your car off. When the coolant is cooled, the fan will turn off.

1996 Honda Odyssey engine cooling fan stays on.

I don't thing there is a short there is radiator fan switch that control these fan, it works off of heat. There is also a fan relay that control look in fuse box inside the hood for fan relay and make sure its NOT stuck , if it isn't then its the fan switch. This switch may be bad and cause the fan to turn on. Replace radiator fan switch located on water outlet on engine and this should solve your problem. A

Fan cooling system of an engine v.w

A thermal switch controls the radiator fan and if the temperature of your radiator is above a preset temperature value, the thermal switch will close and the fan will turn on and will stay on even after you turn the motor off, until your radiator temperature cools down. I wouldn't worry about.
